Species Status: This species is currently living, it lives in wild habitats, its taxonomic status is currently accepted, and it is listed in MSW3 2005.

IUCN Red List of Threatened Species status: Not evaluated


Species-specific notes: tentatively recognized as a distinct species from T. vulpecula here, but the taxonomy of this taxon has been in considerable flux and further research is needed to determine if it is a distinct species or not
